Biography: Antonio is Course Director for the Master of Green Chemistry and Sustainable Technologies, and Director of the ARC-ITTC - Green Chemistry in Manufacturing.
His research interests are in green ghemistry, biomass valorisation, underutilised resources from food and agricultural industries regarded as "waste", agricultural chemistry, and soil health.

Biography: Professor CHAN Man Nin is an Associate Professor of the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences in the Faculty of Science at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, where he has served since 2014. His research focuses on ambient air pollution, with a particular emphasis on the sources and chemical characteristics of particulate matter (PM). Professor Chan leads a research group that conducts laboratory and chamber experiments to investigate the formation and transformation mechanisms of PM. His work aims to deepen the understanding of PM sources and concentration, contributing to improved air quality assessment and management. He earned his Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Engineering from the California Institute of Technology. Prior to joining CUHK, he was a postdoctoral fellow in the Chemical Sciences Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.

Biography: Prof. Xinke Wang received his Master of Science degree from Fudan University in 2017 and completed his Doctor of Philosophy at Claude Bernard University Lyon 1 and the Institute for Research on Catalysis and the Environment of Lyon in 2021. Following his doctoral studies, he carried out postdoctoral research at the University of California, Irvine, and later at the University of Toronto. He is presently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering at Fudan University. His research is dedicated to advancing the understanding of heterogeneous atmospheric chemistry, with particular emphasis on the photosensitized chemistry of sulfur dioxide, the ozonolysis and hydroxyl radical oxidation of emerging contaminants, and the oxidation processes that occur on polluted indoor surfaces. Professor Wang has established a strong research record and has published thirty-seven scholarly papers in leading journals, including Science Advances, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Nature Communications, and Environmental Science and Technology.

Biography: Dr. Hongwen SUN is a professor and former dean of College of Environmental Science and Engineering, Nankai University, China. She acquired her Ph D at Nankai in 1994 and has been working there till now. She holds the chair of, 1) Center on Environmental Processes and Risk Assessment of Emerging Contaminants, supported by MOE, China; 2) Innovative Team on Risk Assessment and Pollution Remediation supported by MOST, China. She commits herself to two research fields: 1) Source, fate, and human exposure of emerging organic contaminants; 2) Novel materials and technologies for the remediation of polluted soil. She has published over 600 journal papers，which have been cited more than 15,000 times. She was named with several talent titles by MOE, MOST, and NSFC, China. She is currently Advisory Board Member for the journal of Environmental Science & Technology, serves several other internal and international journals as editor board member.

Biography: Dr. Jibiao Zhang is an associate professor and doctoral supervisorin Fudan University. He is primarily engaged in teaching, research, and engineering applications related to wastewater purification and water environment restoration. In recent years, he has led nearly 40 research projects, published more than 80 papers, and obtained over 10 authorized invention patents. He has received several prestigious awards, including the First Prize of Science and Technology Award in Anhui Province, the First Prize of Invention and Entrepreneurship Award in China Invention Association, the First Prize of Teaching Achievement in Fudan University, the Second Prize of LiangXi Forestry Science and Technology in National Forestry and Grassland Administration, and the Outstanding Innovation Talent Award in China Association of Circular Economy.

Biography: Xiaowu received his PhD degree in Environmental Engineering from Kumamoto University (CSC, 2013-2016) and was working at the University of Hawaii at Hilo and Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology (EAWAG) as a visiting scholar during his Ph.D. (Jan. 2015 to Sept. 2015). Dr. Huang completed his postdoctoral training at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (2016-2018) and The University of Hong Kong (2019-2021) and joined GTIIT as an associate professor in the summer of 2021. His group at GTIIT mainly focus on anammox, biological wastewater treatment, and biowaste recycling. He has published over 30 peer-review papers on leading journals like ISME, EST, WR and CEJ and received several awards including Guangdong Science and Technology Progress Award, Guangdong Environmental Protection Science and Technology Award, and Technology Innovation Award of China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Fair. He currently serves as the editor for Journal of Environmental Management and executive editor for Current Research in Biotechnology and is the member of International Water Association, International Bioprocessing Association, International Ecological Economy Promotion Association, and Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences. Researchers who commit to wastewater treatment and resource recovery are more than welcome to join his team.
